How a Photographer and Two Young RJs teams up to draw attention of Authorities to pothole ridden roads of Udaipur –
Udaipur known for its beautiful lakes and landscapes is a very popular city amongst tourist from India and abroad, but during last couple of months roads of Udaipur have been infested with potholes making it difficult to drive on them, the ongoing monsoon only made it worse. While the local media & residents of Udaipur have been long criticizing the local bodies for not repairing the road, RJ Rohit & RJ Muskaan from Radio City Udaipur & Saurabh Patwari an ace photographer from Udaipur took the matter in hand and decided to do a unique photo shoot showcasing the plight of Udaipur roads.
The team did a unique photoshoot showcasing the pothole ridden roads of Udaipur in to a Lake Side Restaurant, a swimming pool, a fishing point & dhobi ghat. While the pics look aesthetically perfect, at the same time it was an unique way to draw attention of civic authorities to the problem.
They posted photos on their facebook / instagram and city facebook groups. On city pages people took it by storm. it garnered over 10000 likes in aggregate across the platform.
As expected the campaign by Radio City & Saurabh Patwari went viral in the city on social media in no time, and it drew attention of authorities also. Within 48 hours of this photoshoot going live most of the potholes where photo shoot was done were filled in by the civic authorities.
